Business Records Management (BRM) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has acquired Underground Archives of Wampum, Pennsylvania. The purchase includes media vaulting and storage business. Along with the purchase comes roughly 400 clients. BRM will lease the vaulting locations from Underground Archives former owner.
BRM plans to continue to use the Underground Archives trade name. They say the acquisition is part of their strategy to expand their position in the records information management (RIM) industry. They currently operate 14 facilities throughout Pennsylvania.
The consolidation of the RIM industry continues to impact most markets. And on the other side more business are getting into the space. From shredding services adding records storage to compliment their current offerings to self storage business looking to increase revenue on existing spaces.
